SOUND TO PICTURE

A Piece I composed over the amazing game god of war for part of the opening hours of the game.

This was a part of a unit I did in uni for composing music for picture. the brief was as follows: "A simple brief- the music should be sweet natured and gentle. It should also reflect the screen- sadness when the boy slumps, happiness when he meets the fox, sadness when he has to go. The director stated she would like a “magical and sparkly” quality about the music that would appeal to a younger audience, and the melody should be strong enough to compensate for the lack of dialogue."

This was part of a submission for a unit at uni. He sent these files as he wanted the mash-up they made to be as identifiable with the most famous version of the characters as possible. As such, hints at the most famous themes from each character's mediums whilst retaining originality is how the director saw the music working. *Consider each scene as a separate composition, rather than trying to cram it all into one session."
